Can we talk about an inspiration shoot at a sprawling southern vineyard? When Holly Chapple asked if I'd like to team up for a day of sunshine, spanish moss, and good times all around she had me at Sweet Tea Photography. With a name like that, I knew I was in! Romantic at heart and pure art in it's most organic form, it's soft, it's happy and it's seriously gorgeous. Fair warning, I pulled my sis in. Stuck around to play with the girls of Paprika Southern... which means dogs and breathtaking garlands sapping from every corner. I sure did. Don't miss the highlights below.

How gorgoues is this garland?!
Now for the DIY!
My obsession with flowers isn't a secret so when the girls of Paprika Southern asked me to teach them how to create a simple, floral autumn inspired table accent, I dove into my treasure trove of beautiful, meaningful, easy ideas to convince them they must try it. I don’t know about you, but my calendar is overflowing with special occasions this season. You name it – I’m doing it! There’s something about hand crafting a project. The perfect Autumn day means flowers on a table alfresco – for anything. So roll up those sleeves, I’m sharing a floral lesson that’s a cinch:
- Your favorite vessel
- A bucket of your favorite blooms
- Floral Clippers
Step 1: Choose your vessel. Something simple that with a pedestal is perfect. Grab something from your cupboard.
Tip: Choose a vessel that's versatile, beautiful and makes you happy. I chose a Bell Jar Drink Dispenser Stand from Pottery Barn because it's full of Old World charm. Plus it can be used after the event, makes great favors - the possibilities are endless. I love it!
Step 2: Choose your favorite blooms. I recommend 3 - 5 different types in hues to match the event. Be sure to include different textures and style to make it interesting and artistic. Feel free to forage from your garden or visit your local flower shop.
Step 3: Place flowers on the vessel. Be creative. Start with the largest bloom to create a focal point.
