Strawberry Floats for Valentine's Day

As an adult I am not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day in the form of obligatory flowers and candy for the person you love; but, I have the fondest memories of Valentine’s Day as a child I remember my mother making special little things for us such as heart shaped sandwiches she packed in our lunches, giving us strawberry milk to drink, and always making special desserts. Each year we always had these delicious strawberry floats after dinner and it wasn’t anything fancy, but something I still remember to this day.

Ingredients:

  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Strawberry soda

Directions:

1.     In a large glass, such as these adorable parfait glasses, spoon in two large scoops of your favorite vanilla ice cream.

2.     Slowly pour your strawberry soda over the ice cream. I’ve found the slower you pour, the more soda you get instead of just foam.

3.     Enjoy!

These delicious floats would be great served alongside these adorable Valentine’s Day Conversation Rice Krispey Treats - post coming soon!
