Hi there! I'm so thrilled that you found us! Here's a little bit about me...

I was born in Nashua, New Hampshire and spent most of my formative years in a suburb of Boston. I consider myself a true Boston girl at heart and harbor a deep love for my Sox, Fenway Park, the Public Garden, and real clam chowder (the kind you can stand a metal spoon in). I define myself by the people I love and places I have visited—spending summers at my family's lake cabin in Maine instilled a deep appreciation for campfires, cable knit socks, and the star-filled sky, only experienced hundreds of miles away from the nearest city. A semester in Costa Rica taught me that there is much more to life than designer handbags and regular manicures. Barcelona has stolen my heart. New York has stolen my dignity. Capri has stolen a lot of my money.

As for the people I love, numbers one, two and three are of course my husband and our beautiful daughters, Delaney and Tabitha. I met my husband while studying at the University of Delaware. It's a long, complicated, story that I’d be happy to share with you over a martini or three. Suffice it to say, we were meant to be together and the universe has a funny way of putting people in the wrong place at the right time. Our daughter Delaney filled the void we never even knew existed in 2010, Tabitha followed in April of 2015 and our life has never been the same.

After graduating from UD, (go Blue Hens!) Joe and I moved to Georgia where he teaches physics and coaches lacrosse. I attended law school at night while working a full time job and running my event design company, Ashley Pepitone Designs. Delaney arrived during fall finals week, year two of law school, and I realized that I would not be able to keep up with all of my commitments. So, Ashley Pepitone Designs slowly wound itself down and I began my own lifestyle blog—How She Sparkles.

I'm now a full-fledged attorney by day. HSS has served as my creative outlet since letting go of the event business, but when Lauren Weems invited me to become a Camp Makery Counselor, I jumped at the chance! I wear many hats, but this is where I share my tips and advice on some of my favorite topics— all things style, parties, and little ones! My posts focus on personal and home style, raising creative children, and entertaining. I am so excited to share my secrets with you!

xoxo, Ashley
